Our Story

Hi, pals! I'm Dave, a lifelong baseball obsessive and Blue Jays fanatic. For the last decade or so, I've been super into advanced stats: wOBA, wRC+, xFIP...you name it. I love the degree of precision we can now use to measure performance and better predict player success. (Nerd alert...am I right?)

Recently, I noticed something: the only options out there for t-shirts that celebrate my favourite stats are filled with cheesy puns or awkward, ugly visuals. That inspired me to create something fresh — baseball gear that brings together my love of the sport with my love of pop culture and loud, fast music. That's why I decided to start Exit Velo.

Take a look at my designs. If you like something, give it a try. If you hate it, that's cool too...and if you have a minute, send me a note to tell me what you didn't like and what else you'd like to see. I'm new at this and always open to suggestions.

One thing that I feel I need to share: I use AI tools in my design process. I am a one-man show and I need all the help I can get to put my ideas onto shirts. If that rubs you the wrong way and you don't want to support Exit Velo, I totally respect that. If you're on the fence, I can assure you that 100% of the ideas, concepts, and direction come from my human brain. I use AI to help me put pen to paper and translate my ideas into designs more quickly (and probably more effectively) than I could on my own while I also work a full-time job. To be honest, I don't want to be eaten by robots either, but for now, this is where I'm at and what's working.
